Fundraising and events officer

Description of tasks to be undertaken by the trainee(s)

-Support the implementation of the End FGM EU Fundraising Strategy;
-Complete donor research on current and prospective donors;
-Update current and prospective donor profiles in database;
-Play a supporting role in grant administration, writing, and reporting;
-Prepare monthly fundraising emails to members;
-Draft, proofread, and edit documents, including marketing material, presentations, and reports;
-Work on special projects as applicable that will support the advancement of Education Week’s development goals
-Support the implementation of membership capacity building initiates including the multi-stakeholder conference;

 

Profile of Trainee

Qualification: Educational Qualifications/Vocational Training

University degree in Law, Human Rights, Political Sciences or Social sciences

Personal and Social Skills

Language Skills

Professional fluency in oral and written English
Knowledge of French would be an asset

Information Technology (IT) Skills

Proficiency in the use of computers for:
• Microsoft Office
• Excel
• Internet
• Social media
• WordPress or similar
Desirable
• Basic graphic design software
• Video-editing

Other Prerequisites/Skills

• Knowledge of and interest about gender equality issues
• Experience in fundraising and programme development in gender issues field
• Willingness to engage in productive and challenging work
• Ability to work well under deadlines
