Description of tasks to be undertaken by the trainee(s)

The intern would edit journalistic texts written in English, working on language accuracy and clarity. He/she may also produce his/her own pieces of news in English. He/she will also add voice over on videos. The intern may edit those videos as well. We will be supporting the intern in all these tasks, teaching him/her the necessary technology. The intern will have the opportunity to get more familiar with Journalism texts and the way a news agency works.

 

Profile of Trainee

Qualification: Educational Qualifications/Vocational Training

We are looking for a recent graduate or a student of Journalism, Communications, Translation/Interpretation, Philology, English Literature or a similar degree, graduate or postgraduate.

Personal and Social Skills

We are looking for a hands-in person, with an open attitude, able to work in different cultural environment. Attention to detail and personal commitment are important skills for the traineeship.

Language Skills

English Native Speakers. Non natives, please abstain from sending your applications.
Some knowledge of Spanish or Catalan is highly recommended.

Information Technology (IT) Skills

Microsoft Office.
