Today, young people have to put up with an increasingly and ever more demanding environment, facing them with multiple challenges. Global connections appeal to their openmindedness, their social, cultural and language skills as well as their mobility, adaptation and integration capacities.

European Regions, members of the Assembly of European Regions (AER), want to propose youth who have finished professional training and are about to enter the labour market with the possibility to go abroad and experience their acquired knowledge and skills in a foreign professional environment.

The Regions participating in the Eurodyssey programme link the young people up with the businesses and employers of their Region. According to the young person's professional competences, they arrange a work placement within a company or with an employer of their network and they host each others young people during their stay in their Region.
