Description of tasks to be undertaken by the trainee(s)

Founded in 1948, CCIVS is a coordinating body for international voluntary service (IVS) organisations counting more than 180 members in 80+ countries, including 2 international networks and several regional structures and platforms. It acts as a link to establish relations between the members and international institutions such as the EU, different UN agencies or foundations.
CCIVS activities projects include:
Networking and International Representation: CCIVS organises inter-regional projects of IVS organisations, global meetings and participates in intitutional forums to defend the priorities of the International Voluntary Service Movement
Training and Capacity building: Trainings for Volunteers, leaders, trainers and staff of IVS organisations to develop the organisational capacities of members
Communication and campaigns: CCIVS puts IVS organisations and other institutions into contact and provides information, materials and tools.
CCIVS also promotes campaigns to raise visibility and strengthen the work of IVS organisations

Main responsibilities:

• Contribute to the promotion and visibility of CCIVS activities.
• Create promotional supports in different formats (leaflets, posters, videos, etc.) for the organisation's activities and projects.
• Publish a tri-annual newsletter and follow the communication of the organisation (website, facebook account, etc.)
• Update the webpage and any other communication tools
• Implement different training activities about communication tools mainly for volunteers and active members of the organisation.


Profile of Trainee

Qualification: Educational Qualifications/Vocational Training

- Experience in graphic design, photo and film-making (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign)
- Experience in Adobe Deamweaver CS5
- Is able to handle administrative work
- Is experienced in international & intercultural learning
- Is ready to participate in different trainings (preparation & leading workshops)

Personal and Social Skills

- Is able to work independently
- Is able to respect, develop and work in team spirit
- Is keen on youth work;

Language Skills

- Fluent working knowledge of English

Information Technology (IT) Skills

- Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign
- Experience in Adobe Deamweaver CS5

Other Prerequisites/Skills

Currently there are 3 youngsters selected for this traineeship.
